WE ARE BACK IN SEPTEMBER 2025 – bringing you Volksfest Australia 2025 with the same style and adventures with a few new tricks up our sleeves.

In 2022 after the past few years of uncertainty, we knew there had been very few occasions for the Volkswagen community to catch up. We decided to launch Volksfest Australia which allowed us to bring everyone back together at our family-friendly festival.

So Volksfest Australia 2023 was born, we planned for the festival to be filled with something for everyone, from the oldest to the newest Volkswagen’s on show, a swap meet, market stalls, beer & wine tents along with a variety of food vendors to satisfy your every craving. We wanted organised activities for the kids (big and small) along with live music all day and into the night. On Sunday, we wanted Volksfest Australia to culminate with the opportunity to show off why we are all together, with a Volkswagen Show & Shine and awards for all the exceptional vehicles.

The whole festival took place on the beautiful shores of Lake Macquarie, which is the largest coastal saltwater lake in the Southern Hemisphere. For the full 4 days, Volksfest Australia was located within Swansea Lakeside Holiday Park, so those who are travelling a distance or wanted to stay on-site have somewhere spectacular to call home for a few, or several, days. The Park features an amazing new water park, loads of amenities, modern facilities and provides ample camping options including Cabins, Powered sites and Safari tents.

Being only a short drive from Sydney, and easily reachable from the M1 motorway, Volksfest Australia is located centrally on the East Coast of Australia. For those travelling further distances, it’s a great opportunity to make it a longer vacation and see parts of Australia they may not have already.

At Volksfest Australia we are passionate about engaging with, and supporting local businesses, showcasing Lake Macquarie and the gorgeous local beaches which are only a short walk or drive away. Just a little further up the road is one of Australia’s finest wine regions where people can sample some of the local wines and delicacies.

Volksfest Australia is also proud to be supporting a charity close to our hearts, Beyond Blue, an organisation that has helped so many since its inception. All Volksfest Australia profits will be donated direct to Beyond Blue to help them continue their great work.
