Departing Swansea Lakeside Holiday Park we will make our way through the town of Swansea and head out on the highway towards Lake Macquarie Airfield where we will have our first stop.
Here we will give you a rare opportunity for an exclusive VIP experience with Matt Hall, the reigning Red Bull Air Race World Champion and former Australia Air Force top gun fighter pilot. Tour his personal hangar, check out the cool collection of planes, hear his inspirational story, and get a chance for a Q&A session with Matt and his team. Matt Hall and his team are even offering us a discount on his adrenaline-fuelled Red Bull acrobatics experiences… if you dare!

Departing Lake Macquarie Airfield we will take you on a tour of the beautiful shores of Lake Macquarie as we head towards our lunch venue for the day at Lake Macquarie Yacht Club where you can sit back and enjoy the view and return to your accommodation at your leisure.

The Festival gates are opened exclusively to VFA2023 pass holders. Unwind and catch up late afternoon and into the night with food and drinks in the Volksfest Beer Hall whilst listening to live music from THE THREE.Â
For the families, we will be running some cool kids’ activities and from 6:30pm we’ll be running a kids-friendly movie night.

Departing Swansea Lakeside Holiday Park we will make our way through the town of Swansea and head out on the highway towards Caves Beach. We have set aside a picturesque park-up location where you can take in the gorgeous coastal vista and explore the large number of caves and rock formations that the area is renowned for. Or grab yourself a coffee and breakfast from the local cafes and shops just up the road.
Make your way back to Volksfest Australia at Swansea Lakeside Holiday Park. Pedestrian entry is via Wallarah St for the general public. Park guests can enter via the exclusive VFA gates within the Park.

The Festival kicks off with loads of unique market stalls, tastes from around the world with our food trucks and check out all the latest industry news and happenings with our Trade stalls and Sponsors.
Kids Korner will get underway with colouring in competitions, face painting, decorating, rocker cover racing, hot wheels racing, and other kool activities.
Volksfest Beer Hall Opens from 12 noon serving beer, wine and spirits.
SATURDAY SUPER SWAP

From midday your chance to buy, sell and swap your “rusty gold” as automobile collectibles and rare finds will be on sale from our swap meet zone.Â
If you have collectibles at home and would like to turn your hand at selling, apply for a swap site!

9:30 until 14:00
Gates for entrants in the Show and Shine will be open from 7am until 9.30am.
Polish your pride and joy. All air-cooled and water-cooled Volkswagens are welcome. Judging to be finalised and winners announced by 2pm.
Judging categories to be announced closer to the festival.Â
